Post Doctoral Fellows

Dr. Raji V., M.Sc. Ph.D.

Dr. Raji did her M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Department of Biochemistry, University of Kerala. She got her Ph.D. in 2012 in the topic “Biochemical Investigations of Gold Nanoparticles as a Cancer Therapeutic”. Dr. Raji joined IIUCNN in 2012 as an Assistant Professor (Project Faculty) in DBT Builder Programme for 5 years. In 2018, she has awarded UGC-DS Kothari Postdoctoral Fellowship and worked under Prof. Nandakumar K, IIUCNN. She has received research grant from Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) under Science Research Scheme in 2016 and she is one of the Co-Investigator of the DST-BRICS Project. Dr. Raji has published several research papers in International peer reviewed journals.

Area of interests: Nanobiology, Nanomedicine, Metal nanostructures for cancer diagnosis and therapy, Tissue engineering.

Dr. Chitra Lekha C S

Postdoctoral fellow- CEFIPRA Project

Dr. Chitra Lekha has joined as a postdoctoral fellow in an Indo- France collaborative project CEFIPRA (6408-1) since 1st June 2022. Currently, she is doing research at Institut of Jean Lamour, University of Lorraine, Nancy, France as part of CEFIPRA project for the period of two months. She worked as an assistant professor (ad-hoc) in School of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Mahatma Gandhi University during 2021-2022. She possesses 3 years of postgraduate teaching experience in Physics. 

She received her PhD in Physics from Department of Physics, Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod, Kerala in 2018.  Her area of research includes multiferroic and magnetoelectric materials, piezoelectric nanogenerators, magnetic nanoparticles, thin films and multilayers and nanogenerators based on polymer nanofibers.

Achievements and Awards of Dr. Chitra Lekha

  • Recently she received a best presenter award in an international conference ICFMAT 2023 conducted by Central University of Kerala.
  • She was the recipient of Women Scientist-A Fellowship (PI of the project) from DST for the period of three years from 2015 to 2018.
  • She received best researcher award from Central University of Kerala in 2018.
